I see a lot of posts about phantom limbs, which is fair. It's upsetting when people can't see your limbs! I understand

BUT I also wanted to tell you all that a few weeks ago my irl friend Onyx was happy and I was sitting next to them and they had a phantom tail and I could feel THEIR tail wagging. I could see it even if I couldn't SEE it. I'm also autistic and can't read body language so it isn't that I just saw that they were happy, it was SPECIFICALLY their tail that made me recognize that they were happy

It makes me feel more in touch with my body and more like myself. It makes me feel more free from the grip of human gender norms, and what humans think a fairy should look like.
