This is what the first two games of the season have felt like, please respect my privacy at this time.

The Phillies are in fine enough form this month to make this post start going around again, think of us.

People who act aggressive and negative as fuck and then when you’re like “hey can you stop” they’re like “I’m going through some stuff 🥺🥺🥺” like damn dude that’s crazy me too - for example right now I’m going through YOUR behavior.

"i don't care if they make their whole way though uni with chatgpt" i think you guys are so internetpilled that you have forgotten there are actual jobs out there that require people to know what they are doing in any way possible or else people die

i know a lot of people study just to get paid well but girl this is engineering be for fucking real take this seriously

I've also seen a sudden uptake in sentiments like "the people who are getting chatgpt to write their essays for them are the same people who would have plagiarised or bullshat or cheated some other way 5 years ago, this is no different" and

1) yeah but it's now so much easier to do it, meaning the folks who Might have done that but decided it's actually less faff to just learn the material no longer have that last layer of restraint

2a) the folks plagiarising or bullshitting are at least exposing themselves to the true material while doing so, rather than a machine's vaguely plausible hallucination, which means they're at least learning A Bit, and

2b) they Know if they're pulling something out their ass, they know that information is bullshit and will not help them in the real world, whereas chatgpt stans will not only submit that info as their work but they also tend to Believe it and therefore take bits of it with them into the wider world

and critically,

3) it was always bad to plagiarise and cheat in academia, like I'm not talking about copying your friend's standardised test in high school that's whatever I don't give a shit I'm not a cop, but academic integrity in higher education is a real issue with real consequences and always has been, whether you're submitting organic bullshit or AI slop.

Do me a favour and reblog this with a show you like that was cancelled after only one season. I don't mean shows that were always meant to be miniseries or shows that work perfectly well as a standalone story, or shows that might still get renewed. I mean shows that are and will forever remain unfinished. The more obscure the better.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers Mothering out there in the Cosmos! 🧡

the never-ending push and pull of matt trying to make yeza a shy awkward nerdy guy vs. sam trying to make yeza just an absolute kinky freak

I haven't started this weekend's Nein Again episode but I am just thinking about how both the Mighty Nein and Vox Machina had some fascinating relatively long-term disagreements or conflicts and even some blow-ups that ultimately provided so much space for character development. The scene with Caleb telling Fjord that some degree of risk is good only hits the way it does because Fjord had previously held him at swordpoint and Molly and Beau had laid into Nott (and that conversation in turn is how we found out about Nott's feelings about Caleb as someone to protect). Imagine if Scanlan yelled at Vox Machina like that and you didn't get Percy yelling back at him to actually treat his daughter like a person rather than some idealized concept he had to be perfect for! Like, Bells Hells' refusal to ever let arguments actually happen feels like...well, like you're playing an RPG and keep picking the most dead end option for the conversation every single time, and I still wish they like...didn't plaster over every negative feeling almost immediately because it's genuinely wild how like...every single little thing that could have transformed this campaign into something better didn't happen.

"redemption arcs are toxic, you shouldn't try to fix someone!"

actually it is so important to me that being in community and experiencing human connection can save people. thanks
