satoru cannot stand the taste of alcohol. the extremely bitter and tangy substance leaves an unshakable aftertaste in the back of his throat that he simply can’t get rid of, he seriously wonders how you and shoko are willingly able to drown down more than two drinks at a time.
the very rare occurrence he orders an alcoholic beverage it’ll be something on the fruity side like a strawberry mimosa or, if he’s feeling daring that day, a tequila sunrise will be served chilled —with very little tequila— in front of him but that choice stems from your happiness so you don’t feel isolated when drinking.
above all else, satoru is a terrible lightweight. from the first sip his face would blossom into a bright hue of red turning flushed with eyes getting heavy and lidded as warmth surges through his body.
albeit sober enough to make conscious decisions, like allow you lean over the table and use your free hand to smush his cheeks together, cooing and laughing loudly at his flustered glow. satoru chuckles watching you take an unsteady seat back on your side of the booth; you’re drunk off your ass lively retelling a funny encounter that happened at the bank today.
