i'd just woken up, and i was checking my social media, and i saw a post featuring his shop sprite. my first thought was, "this looks a lot like an old deviantart oc" but a deviantart oc of what?
he doesn't look like he comes from anything, he just is. he's here with us in the world and in the first few hours he's deeply ingrained in our conscience. i better learn to like this guy because he's about to get very, very popular isn't he

i hope people took this post for what it was intended. i love making theories and fan concepts and i absolutely don't discourage anyone from doing the same. what you make is uniquely you in a beautiful way and you shouldn't let 'being wrong' get in your way of that. however, guessing the rest of the game is like playing the first hour of undertale and trying to guess what comes next
is it delusional to hope for a big announcement or reveal sometime in the next 48 hours? absolutely. will it stop me from doing exactly this?

oh hey here's this thing i forgot to post! portal 3 fan concept art set in android hell. you reach the end of a level, only to look down the elevator shaft and find this thing staring back at you. it lunges out and a chase sequence commences

thank you! android hell is located at the very bottom of aperture, and the only reason we're able to survive is because we have a suit this time that can endure some more intensely hot temperatures. well, actually, GLADoS' reason for giving it to us is that the text chambers lose gravity as we go further up because the facility has expanded greatly and reaches up into space.
the story of 3 takes place far after the second one in which we're the last living test subject, having spent most of our life in the relaxation center surrounded by personality cores and one nurse core that checks our health regularly until it's time to start testing. old aperture is destroyed in order to purge the memories of caroline.
there's another major important part of the story:
before glados, ratmann was part of a beta robot body experiment called NEXUS. but cave got impatient and rushed the creation of glados, despite obvious software flaws that went unchecked.
somewhere near the end of ratmann's life, when he briefly had clarity, he uploaded his knowledge about GLADoS' weaknesses and passkeys to secret areas into NEXUS praying that chell would eventually find it all, but she never did.
