Misionero Comido Por Tigre, 1907, Noé León
I truly enjoy how much Animorphs is like “here are our young heroes, each with a distinctive trope to fill in the group!” And then it makes you watch how the pressure of each person’s role grinds them to dust. And also they have homework.
Yeah they're students. If they don't keep their grades up or if they miss too many classes (or miss classes at suspicious times) then they risk drawing the attention of the faculty and/or their parents, some of whom are the enemy and some of whom can just make future espionage a whole lot harder. There are multiple missions where they're like "okay, this is incredibly time sensitive but it'll take a full day or longer so it has to wait for the weekend and we'll have to all lie to our parents about sleeping over at each others' houses. It's gonna have to be done at the last minute because we've gotta go to class. Also, remember to get that English paper finished, we can NOT afford to have you grounded right now."
They also get disembowelled and/or eaten a lot
It's kind of funny how Teams users have been complaining for the better part of a decade that the minimum width of the dockable chat windows is too wide, and Microsoft has basically been telling them to get fucked, then they discontinue Skype and tell all of its former users to switch to Teams, and within 72 hours of Skype going down for good, Microsoft suddenly pushes a "critical" update for Teams that gives it more flexible dockable chat windows.
Like, I want to be clear on the sequence of events here. Eight years of problem reports from paying corporate customers: zilch. Three days of getting yelled at by millions of free-tier shmucks who don't give a shit about your product identity and just want to text their mom: instant results.
I so desperately want to be able to convince Trump supporters with facts and logic and empathy, but it’s so important to remember that their ignorance is INTENTIONAL. my mom didn’t let us watch Sleeping Beauty growing up. I asked her why recently and she said, “it was evil.” when I pointed out other movies had similar themes and depictions of evil, and asked what the difference was, she couldn’t. I pressed one more time and she just said, “it felt evil to me. I didn’t like it”. same thing with dune 2: she said it was “dark”, and I was, “literally, like the movie’s lighting? Or the themes?” and she said “I don’t know” and didn’t want to talk about it more. many conservatives genuinely cannot tell the difference between “I don’t like it” and “this is evil” and they do not care to learn despite many chances
people who dont maintag: here is a full analysis of a scene where i write out what each character considered the situation to be, why their pasts made them react the way they did, and why the eventual misunderstanding was as avoidable as it was inevitable… #rambles #idk if this means anything so i wont spam tags ^^;
people who do maintag: i hate blorbo #blorbo #from my shows

There should totally be a movement called “Sleep in Public” where people defend their right to sleep on public property. Sleep in your cars. Sleep on benches. Sleep at the park. Just make it a mundane and regular part of life to see someone napping in the library. It would make it much harder to single out the homeless for harassment if everyone else is doing the same thing and much harder to argue that it’s a “threat to public safety” when it’s so clearly harmless.
“But homeless people commit crimes!” I have a very hard time believing they commit crimes while asleep.
You know who do commit crimes in their sleep? Billionaires
“But loitering is a crime–”
Loitering is the act of being in a place without spending money.
YOUR TAXES build and maintain that street, that park, that bench. YOUR MONEY made that space.
If you can’t use it for an entirely neutral activity (sleeping), what the fuck can you use it for?
You just KNOW they talking about anime.
She’s wearing a Naruto shirt, his jacket has the Leaf Village symbol on the sleeve.
They’re definitely talking about anime (probably Naruto).
my fave part is that they’re at a coach fashion show
Not only a Naruto shirt but a Legendary Sannin shirt to boot
how it feels to look at/listen to your own creations and enjoy them and appreciate how far you've come as an artist
there are some autistic “traits” that people find really annoying but that are inherently kind
like overexplaining. a lot of autistic people didn’t have certain things explained to them because “everyone knows that.” so when an autistic person overexplains something it’s not because they think you’re stupid it’s because they know how it feels for someone to assume you know something you don’t and just not ever explain how or why. it’s a kindness. autistic people aren’t annoying or stupid for this. they’re kind.
ship: thanks, I like your hairclip!
Kentucky mcdonalds woman: oh thanks, I got it at marshalls like a year ago. it was seven dollars then
ship: haha, probably like fifteen now
Kentucky mcdonalds woman: just slap a tariff on it and call it a day. I can't wait for the whole economy to collapse
ship: hahahaha yeah. well, take care
talking to people out and about these days can feel a lot like you've just booted up a new video game and the writers are trying to awkwardly insert world building information into all the dialogue options but like for actual real
it's just turning us all into infodumping npcs
the best time to grieve is when it spites the people who tell you not to
[ID: a 4-panel comic in medieval manuscript style of a person in blue sitting on a basket. /In 1 a person off-panel says: "What are you doing over there?" /2: That person comes on panel wearing yellow and helps Blue hold down the basket. Blue: "Trying to push down my grief about my illness" Yellow: "Have you tried platitudes?" /3: Blue yells at the basket: "'It could be worse!'" /4: A dragon pushes up the lid of the basket to yell: "It could be better" /end ID]
