Their job search algorithm is abysmal

Their job search algorithm is abysmal. Very poor results, inaccurate job results, etc.

I'm only on them because most recruiters who reach out say they found me on Monster. Otherwise I'd close my account. So YES... 3 stars for getting recruiters to contact me.

Thanks you once again for giving me…

Thanks you once again for giving me such opportunity to demonstrate my experience.
All depends on the patient I had for my self to my boss and the respect I gave every one as an elderly person. I told my self that, no matter what the time I will spend one day I want to be boss on my own. That's lead to my eight years experience I have today.

Not applicable

I'm getting frustrated with you site and it's starting to feel like a waste of my time. There a a lot of jobs in the medical field on my recommended list. Why is that? I have no experience, training or want to be in the medical field. How do I stop these notifications and get more that apply to me?

Alerts and Open Positions not relevant

I found the job alerts and open positions often did not match my criteria. This happened so much that I stopped getting alerts all together. The site just did not meet my expectations for a job search engine. I received little to no attention on the site.

give monster a go

i found monster thru my microsoft co-pilot. monster apparently has been around for quite a while, and it became apparent to me why after i made an account. you get a free resume review that grades you and gives feedback based on it would fare against an ATS. u can also download a separate, free resume that is beautifully layed out. adding on to your profile is easy too, and i like that you can toggle skill levels.

i docked a star off because its a bit of a mixed bag searching for jobs via the keyword/search bar.

1/3 of the results is actually what i was looking for while the other 2/3 results are unrelated/positions i am under qualified for. there’s also not many filters you can select, and that makes going through listing a pain.

all in all, i would recommend monster to a friend or family member or stranger. i’ll be continuing to use it as well :)

You guys are great

You guys are great, but the only issue I have is that you send a lot of messages filled with empty promises. Why not just give me a transcription job so I can get to work

Needs better ability to find the right…

Needs better ability to find the right job. Needs better filtering options. Needs to be able to search with a NOT function, '-sales'. Without that functionality indeed is more useful to a job searcher.

Very useful program

I am incredibly impressed with this program! It is user-friendly, intuitive, and packed with powerful features. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, making it a joy to use. I particularly appreciate how it streamlines my tasks and helps me stay organized. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient solution.

I'm out for good with Monster

This is the worst job board I've used. It's nothing but listings which require BA/BS or MA/MS (fine, ok I got that) buuut the employers are only willing to remunerate at unskilled laborer rates (15-20/hr).

The final nail in the coffin was that there are ghost listings saturating this site like crazy. Nobody is hiring, they are just holding candidate pools open to receive Federal tax breaks "because they are hiring". Yeah, that's dirty.

I guess if you want to lose your time during a job search being way overqualified and under paid, keep on trucking here on Monster. I'm out for good.

Geographics

I believe you need to put zip codes with the jobs especially for large cities such as Houston Tx.

It's exhausting and sometimes…

It's exhausting and sometimes depressing trying to find a job. It would be much more helpful if you could weed out jobs you don't don't qualify for like medical jobs, CDL truck drivers, teachers etc. It's frustrating to scroll through pages and pages of CNA, RN, physical therapist, teacher, cdl jobs that you don't and won't qualify for. It just makes you wanna give up the search.

Not great!

All responding employment agencies are based in India, their representatives only offer temporary assignments paying $17.00-20.00/hr. They are pushy, annoying and always offer roles for which my experience and employment interests are NOT a match. The job opportunities offered by Monster.com that I have received are simply limited and not attractive.

I am only looking for part time work

I am only looking for part time work, weekdays only but keep getting notifications for full time jobs I'm not qualified for like CDL truck drivers or military jobs or nurse practitioners. These clutter up my inbox and waste my time. Need to use the filters properly

Waste of all of your time

1) Doesn't publish pay - In the state of California it is legally MANDATORY for job postings to post salary offerings. Monster thinks its above the law, apparently because none of its job postings have salary listed. 2) There's no filter to specify pay ranges you're looking in so searching this job site is a waste of everyone's time.
3) The filters don't work. If you aren't interested in temp or contract work and say so in the filter, too bad so sad for you. The filters don't work.
4) There's also no report button at all for scam listings or if a listing is miswritten or if something is just generally wrong. In summary, Monster listings are cluttered with scams, temp agencies, and poorly written job descriptions with no way to control it and they don't follow state laws salary divulgence. Overall, it's 2024 and Monster Jobs hasn't caught up with this era. Bottom of the barrel job site.
