I ordered a megamid screen tent for our Botswana trip on October 30 and paid extra for 2 day shipping. I am leaving on a two month trip to Africa on November 15 next Tuesday and have not received the shipment. I called , voicemail full, texted, emailed and used the online chat on their website. No response, no answer and no product shipped. I paid through Amazonpay. I called my credit card company to get my money back since I don't expect to receive anything based on the other bad reviews I found online about this company. Don't order anything from TakeAHikeShop online! They are a SCAM!!!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! They're terrible and a flagrant scam! I ordered two items from their web store on 8/21, was billed for the items on 8/22 and as today 9/7 I've still not received the items. I've emailed and used their text-to-phone features asking for status, then to demand cancellation and refund, with utterly no response. Calling is useless, it goes right to a full voicemail box. I will be involving my credit card company at this point to do a charge reversal.

Ordered a fork and received an initial email and text confirmation. Since then(almost two weeks), nothing. Can't call them, can't get them them to respond to my emails or texts. Also called the number of the text I received and received a busy tone. I have contacted my credit card company and registered a complaint with the FBI. Total scam!

They had the part I needed & it was my first time ordering and all went well. Item was as described and it shipped out fast. They also take Paypal which I appreciate. I love to patronize small businesses and they stepped up and provided a good shopping experience. Would recommend -Thanks Take a Hike Shop :)

Ordered a $135 set of pedals listed as in stock on 8.25 and was charged immediately. It’s now 9.20 and a shipping label was created yesterday, but still hasn’t entered the USPS network for subsequent tracking/delivery. I have consulted a calendar, and this seems longer than the 2-9 day delivery promised. Attempts to contact the store for updates have gone unanswered.
For context, after belatedly finding negative reviews of TAHS online, ordered the same item directly from the manufacturer in Canada on 8.30 and they were delivered on 9.9.
Edit - 10.3 and nothing has left Missouri. Repeated requests for an update ignored.
2nd Edit - 10.13 and nothing has shipped, no updates have been provided, and no queries have been replied to.
3rd Edit - 10.19 and nada.
4th Edit - 11.14, and still no communication, refund, or bike parts. While I assume my money is just gone, the store’s site runs on Shopify’s software. I’ve reached out to Shopify asking that they investigate and/or disable the online store to prevent this from continuing to occur to unsuspecting customers.

TakeAHikeShop.com took my cash for an in stock item, waited until it cleared, & sent me an email lying about the item being out of stock asking me to purchase something now that prices went back up. In that same email TakeAHikeShop.com claimed to be issuing a refund. Since, the card # listed in the refund email wasn’t mine I attempted contacting TakeAHikeShop.com for 2 days. A week later I got a nasty reply

I bought a fork and it's been weeks. They don't reply to phone calls, emails, or texts. I have heard some good things about the shop but that isn't going to cut it when you get scammed out of 400 bucks.
