Purchased $1100 watch, received an empty box...

I purchased an $1100 Garmin smart watch in Dec. 2024 as a Christmas present for my spouse. When it was delivered, the shipping box was all in-tact. But when I opened the package, the watch box itself contained NO WATCH, just a band. So obviously this error occurred on the store side. However, after contacting Scheels customer support multiple times, I was told there was nothing they could do except file a dispute with my credit card because I had no proof the box was empty. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHO OPENS EVERY PACKAGE THEY RECEIVE UNDER VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SO THEY HAVE PROOF? But lesson learned. Lesson learned, I will henceforth. Effectively they stole $1100 from me. I've read other reviews of individuals receiving empty packages from them. I wouldn't buy anything of value from them online. If you do, video yourself opening the package. I will never shop at Scheel's again.

This store has the blind leading the…

This store has the blind leading the stupid. I just got off the phone with Trevor the manager and he is good but his employees are inexperienced and ignorant of the laws they are trying to play by. Long story short I won’t be buying anything from them again.

Buyer beware.

Buyer beware.. Scheels tacts on a 2.5% Public Improvement Fee at check-out, they don't let customers know, so I took the liberty to place signs on the entrance doors and I will place more at each register.. What a RIP-OFF, they also give a BS excuse that it was imposed the the City of Johnstown and the Property Management company... Nope, those fees are for Scheel and not the customer, Can't wait for Bass Pro Shoppe to open, they will NOT charge BS fees unlike Scheels.. Also have you notice Scheels only response to Good comments, an NOT negative ones... Just look for yourself.. DONT Shop at Scheels, better yet Shittts!

The best experience in a sporting goods…

The best experience in a sporting goods store EVER. I’ve worked in corporate retail for 20 years, and this is BY FAR the best looking, well-stocked, and engaging store I’ve ever been in. The assortment is amazing. The prices are reasonable. And the employees are so engaged into their jobs and putting the customers first, it’s almost infectious. I walked out in such a good mood because of how well I was treated. 874/10 would recommend.

Good customer service

I went to Scheel's in Johnstown, CO today to replace my worn out shoes. Place was packed but I didn't have to wait long for Dylan to greet me and help me find a pair that were comfortable and within my price range. Anne rang me up at the register. She reminded me to use my Scheel's credit card, which I did, and before I left we had a very pleasant conversation about family. Wonderful experience, would recommend.

Awesome Shopping Experience

My wife and I visited the store in Eden Prairie, MN. What’s great group of team members you have at this location. Everyone was super helpful. I was looking for a comfortable dress shoe for work and after trying on about 6 different pairs landed on some Cole Haan shoes the employee recommended. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Great experience!

Avoid ordering and shipping with scheels

Avoid ordering anything from this company. They contract cut rate shipping and will do nothing to assist when the package is lost. Then they tie up your funds, refusing to refund. It could be months or never to resolve your lost order. The people who work their customer service repeatedly disconnect the chat in order to not help. The email customer service is no better. It felt like I was communicating with a prison warden or judge. If you want to speak to customer service, it is over 30 minutes on hold. They are not kind at scheels.com. A bit nicer in the store. I’ll never understand how a company (Scheels) takes a customer’s money, the customer never receives what they paid for and the company refuses to help!

Great Experience Like Always At Scheels Lincoln Ne.

Wife was looking for a new pair of neoprene/rubber hunting boots. The salesperson went to great lengths to get different men's and women's boots for her to try on. And sizes. After helping her he helped me with the purchase of a new Leupold scope, rings and some accessories. Service is always GREAT! at Scheels.
Along with their vast inventory.

Far from home but not from help

I am 23 hours from home on an out of state ND Archery deer hunt. Had big issue with my bow to the point that I could not use it, rendering my hunt potentially over. Took it into the Minot Scheels where Garrett inspected it all over and worked to get it back in working order. He tested it and had it safely back together for me after a little wait. Garrett’s customer service and awesome attitude helped me in a time of need. The people at Scheels are hands down the friendliest around out of any sporting goods/outdoors store. Again, thank you Garrett for helping me out to get my bow squared away and me back in the woods chasing deer!

Great employee mark (114441)

I was shopping over at a few competitors stores looking for a stationary bike. Unfortunately I didn't find any good service in those stores! So I called over to scheels and got ahold of a guy named Mark (#114441) he helped me all the way through the whole service from explaining how the bike worked to signing me up for a credit card! I ended up saving money with a discount and the new credit card! He went above and beyond to help me out unlike other store employees! He's what more stores need. A employee who cares!

Very helpful employees communicate!

Employees were right there to help from the get-go! No need to wander around trying to find what you're looking for. It was amazing when an employee on the first floor quickly approached me and directed me to the right place on the second floor to find bear spray. As soon as I went there, a second-floor gentleman asked if I was the customer looking for bear spray. Of course I said, "How did you know?" He replied that a coworker notified him electronically. A great example of employees helping one another help customers.

Sales gal informed me about applying…

Sales gal informed me about applying for credit card - no pressure, but it had enough incentive for me to sign up and get a bag I really loved. Normally, I pass on all in-store credit cards. Both she and the gal who processed my application were excellent at what they do.

Horrific experience

Horrific experience. I ordered UGG Tasmans for my sons birthday present. However there was never a delivery. I kept contacting and the agents would give the same response saying they needed to wait til USPS confirms it was a misdelivery. However i went on the phone with USPS who confirmed the delivery may have been stolen or misdelivered. I gave the info to the agents who refused to help me and even closed my chat without permission. I feel very disrespected and the lack of proper customer service is very unsettling.

Great Shopping Experience

A great shopping experience today at Scheels with friendly knowledgeable staff, a plethora of fishing products, all ending with (I believe her name was) Billie Jo. Billie Jo was friendly and funny...just a nice way to end a great experience.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Ordered something for Christmas 2024 and was told it would be here the 19th. Item never arrived so I contacted them and they said it was being shipped by the vendor and that it was delayed. I told them to cancel the order they said they can't but here's a return label for when it does come in I can return it. What a crap company. Hey Scheels, here's my order number if you want to make things right. 43878693

Always love your home decor and…

Always love your home decor and furniture. So unique and such great quality . Barb Vanek was so helpful and her knowledge of the furniture I purchased was greatly helpful with my decision. Also Lexi at customer service was very friendly. Scheels is always where I go to find gifts and fun things for my home!!!

The guy that helped me with buying my new shoes, I forgot his name ? I even asked him about paying the bill should I tell the cashier your name and he said no you don’t need to tell them anything else I needed anything else ? Great customer service !

I accidentally ordered 2 pairs of the…

I accidentally ordered 2 pairs of the shoes I wanted. I immediately called customer services (6:30pm EST) and they helped me fix my order right away.

Most places I buy online are closed at this hour but they answered fairly quickly and resolved my issue within minutes. I was definitely pleased with my purchasing experience.
