     Lady Alice Harriet Frederica Egerton was the daughter of Francis Egerton, 1st Earl of Ellesmere and Harriet Catherine Greville.² She married George Henry Charles Byng, 3rd Earl of Strafford, son of George Stevens Byng, 2nd Earl of Strafford and Lady Agnes Paget, on 25 July 1854.¹ She died on 22 December 1928.¹
     Her married name became Byng. After her marriage, Lady Alice Harriet Frederica Egerton was styled as Countess of Strafford on 29 October 1886.

     Lady Blanche Egerton was the daughter of Francis Egerton, 1st Earl of Ellesmere and Harriet Catherine Greville.^1,2 She married John William Montagu, 7th Earl of Sandwich, son of George John Montagu, 6th Earl of Sandwich and Lady Louisa Mary Ann Julia Harriet Lowry-Corry, on 27 December 1865.¹ She died on 20 March 1894, without issue.¹
     After her marriage, Lady Blanche Egerton was styled as Countess of Sandwich on 27 December 1865. From 27 December 1865, her married name became Montagu.

     Henry Charles Howard, 13th Duke of Norfolk was born on 12 August 1791.¹ He was the son of Bernard Edward Howard, 12th Duke of Norfolk and Lady Elizabeth Belasyse.¹ He married Lady Charlotte Sophia Leveson-Gower, daughter of George Granville Leveson-Gower, 1st Duke of Sutherland and Elizabeth Sutherland, Countess of Sutherland, on 27 December 1814.¹ He died on 18 February 1856 at age 64.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Horsham between 1829 and 1832.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Lady Mary Louisa Campbell was born circa 1825.¹ She was the daughter of John Frederick Campbell of Cawdor, 1st Earl Cawdor of Castlemartin and Lady Elizabeth Thynne.³ She married George Granville Francis Egerton, 2nd Earl of Ellesmere, son of Francis Egerton, 1st Earl of Ellesmere and Harriet Catherine Greville, on 29 April 1846.¹ She died on 24 November 1916.¹
     Her married name became Egerton. After her marriage, Lady Mary Louisa Campbell was styled as Countess of Ellesmere on 18 February 1857.

     John Frederick Campbell of Cawdor, 1st Earl Cawdor of Castlemartin was born on 8 November 1790.¹ He was the son of John Campbell of Cawdor, 1st Baron Cawdor of Castlemartin and Lady Isabella Caroline Howard.² He was baptised on 9 December 1790 at London, England^G.³ He married Lady Elizabeth Thynne, daughter of Thomas Thynne, 2nd Marquess of Bath and Hon. Isabella Elizabeth Byng, on 5 September 1816 at Grosvenor Square, London, England^G.^1,3 He died on 7 November 1860 at age 69 at Stackpole Court, Pembrokeshire, Wales^G.^1,3 His will was proven (by probate) on 10 April 1861, at under £120,000.³
     He was educated circa 1803 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.⁴ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 21 October 1808.^1,3 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1812 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Francis Charles Granville Egerton, 3rd Earl of Ellesmere was born on 5 April 1847.¹ He was the son of George Granville Francis Egerton, 2nd Earl of Ellesmere and Lady Mary Louisa Campbell.¹ He married Lady Katherine Louisa Phipps, daughter of George Augustus Constantine Phipps, 2nd Marquess of Normanby and Laura Russell, on 9 December 1868.² He died on 13 July 1914 at age 67.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Ellesmere, of Ellesmere, co. Salop. [U.K., 1846] on 19 September 1862.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Brackley, of Brackley, co. Northamp [U.K., 1846] on 19 September 1862.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Lancashire.¹ He was appointed Knight of Justice Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.J.St.J.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.¹

     Lady Katherine Louisa Phipps was born on 31 January 1850 at Mulgrave Castle, Lythe, Yorkshire, England.² She was the daughter of George Augustus Constantine Phipps, 2nd Marquess of Normanby and Laura Russell.³ She married Francis Charles Granville Egerton, 3rd Earl of Ellesmere, son of George Granville Francis Egerton, 2nd Earl of Ellesmere and Lady Mary Louisa Campbell, on 9 December 1868.¹ She died on 23 September 1926 at age 76.¹
     From 9 December 1868, her married name became Egerton. After her marriage, Lady Katherine Louisa Phipps was styled as Countess of Ellesmere on 9 December 1868. She was appointed Lady of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (L.G.St.J.)³

     John Francis Granville Scrope Egerton, 4th Earl of Ellesmere was born on 14 November 1872.¹ He was the son of Francis Charles Granville Egerton, 3rd Earl of Ellesmere and Lady Katherine Louisa Phipps.¹ He married Lady Violet Lambton, daughter of Frederick William Lambton, 4th Earl of Durham and Beatrix Bulteel, on 28 October 1905.² He died on 24 August 1944 at age 71.¹
     He fought in the Boer War in 1900.¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1909.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Ellesmere, of Ellesmere, co. Salop. [U.K., 1846] on 13 July 1914.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Brackley, of Brackley, co. Northamp [U.K., 1846] on 13 July 1914.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Scots.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Lancashire.¹ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V.¹ He was appointed Knight of Justice Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.J.St.J.)¹

     Lady Violet Lambton was born on 3 July 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Frederick William Lambton, 4th Earl of Durham and Beatrix Bulteel.¹ She married John Francis Granville Scrope Egerton, 4th Earl of Ellesmere, son of Francis Charles Granville Egerton, 3rd Earl of Ellesmere and Lady Katherine Louisa Phipps, on 28 October 1905.¹ She died in 1976 at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.²
     Her married name became Egerton. After her marriage, Lady Violet Lambton was styled as Countess of Ellesmere on 13 July 1914. She was appointed Lady of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (L.G.St.J.)¹

     Frederick William Lambton, 4th Earl of Durham was born on 19 June 1855.¹ He was the son of George Frederick D'Arcy Lambton, 2nd Earl of Durham and Lady Beatrix Frances Hamilton. He married Beatrix Bulteel, daughter of John Bulteel and Euphemia Emily Parsons, on 26 May 1879.¹ He died on 31 January 1929 at age 73.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South County Durham between 1880 and 1885.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Durham South-East between 1900 and 1910.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Northumberland Fusiliers.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Durham [U.K., 1833] on 18 September 1928.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Lambton [U.K., 1833] on 18 September 1928.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Durham of the City of Durham and of Lambton Castle, co.
