     General Sir William Stirling was born on 4 August 1835 at Muiravonside, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.2,3 He was the son of Charles Stirling, 1st of Muiravonside and Charlotte Dorothea Stirling.2 He married, firstly, Ann Douglas Stirling, daughter of Sylvester Douglas Stirling of Glenbervie and Anne Connell, on 2 June 1864.2 He married, secondly, Anna Christian Stirling, daughter of William Stirling, of Kenmure and Jamaica and Olivia Salmond, on 14 July 1869.2 He died on 11 April 1906 at age 70 at Ochiltree, Ochiltree, Ayrshire, Scotland.2,3
     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.2 He fought in the Crimean War.2 He fought in the Indian Mutiny.2 He fought in the China Expedition in 1860.2 He fought in the Afghan War between 1878 and 1879.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1893.2 He gained the rank of General in the Royal Artillery.2 He was Colonel Commandant of the Royal Artillery.2 He held the office of Lieutenant of the Tower of London between 1900 and 1902.2

     William Henry Stirling was born on 12 December 1926.2 He was the son of Brigadier James Erskine Stirling and Evelyn Alice Beatrix Cavendish.1,2 He married, firstly, Mariota Steuart Menzies, daughter of Lt.-Col. Ronald Steuart Menzies of Menzies and Sybil Mary Willoughby Boulton, on 28 November 1959.1 He and Mariota Steuart Menzies were divorced in 1967.1 He married, secondly, Primrose Butler, daughter of Major William Francis Butler, on 4 April 1968.2 He died on 25 December 1982 at age 56.3

Ronald Steuart Menzies of Menzies and Sybil Mary Willoughby Boulton.1 She married, firstly, William Henry Stirling, son of Brigadier James Erskine Stirling and Evelyn Alice Beatrix Cavendish, on 28 November 1959.1 She and William Henry Stirling were divorced in 1967.1 She married, secondly, Ewen John Brodie of Lethen, son of Major David James Brodie of Lethen, on 4 August 1967.1
     From 28 November 1959, her married name became Stirling.1 From 4 August 1967, her married name became Brodie.1

     Winifred Hawthorne Hicks was born in 1880.1 She was the daughter of Hugh McCall Hicks and Florence (?)1 She married Lt.-Col. Hubert James McLaughlin, son of Maj.-Gen. Edward McLaughlin and Annie Bromilow, in 1909.1 She died in 1950.1
     From 1909, her married name became McLaughlin.1 She was a cordon bleu cook.1

David Ian Rollo, son of Major John Eric Henry Rollo, 12th Lord Rollo of Duncrub and Helen Maud Chetwynd-Stapylton, on 30 September 1948.1 She died on 23 March 2016 at age 90.2
     Her married name became Rollo. She lived in 2003 at 30 King Street, Nairn, Nairnshire, ScotlandG.1

     Major Norman Chetwynd Rollo was born on 8 January 1918.1 He was the son of Major John Eric Henry Rollo, 12th Lord Rollo of Duncrub and Helen Maud Chetwynd-Stapylton.1 He died on 14 September 1944 at age 26, killed in action.1
