     Lady Catherine Stanhope was the daughter of Philip Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Chesterfield and Lady Elizabeth Dormer.1 She married Godfrey Clarke, son of Sir Gilbert Clarke and Barbara Clerke, circa 13 June 1706.1 She died in 1728.1
     From circa 13 June 1706, her married name became Clarke.1

     Godfrey Clarke was born circa 1678.1 He was the son of Sir Gilbert Clarke and Barbara Clerke.1 He married Lady Catherine Stanhope, daughter of Philip Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Chesterfield and Lady Elizabeth Dormer, circa 13 June 1706.1 He died on 25 March 1734.1
     He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derbyshire between 1710 and 1734.1
