William Thomas Graves, 3rd Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend was born on 18 April 1804.1 He was the son of Thomas North Graves, 2nd Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend and Lady Mary Paget.2 He married, firstly, Josephine Thérèse Berthier, daughter of General Louis Cesar Gabriel Berthier, on 11 August 1829.1 He married, secondly, Louise Adèle Maléne in 1833.1 He died on 20 March 1870 at age 65.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Foot Guards.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend [I., 1794] on 7 February 1830.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to theLord-Lieutenant of Ireland.1
