Lt.-Gen. Charles Baring was born on 26 June 1829.1 He was the son of Major Henry Bingham Baring and Lady Augusta Brudenell.1 He married Helen Graham, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir James Robert George Graham, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Callender, on 25 August 1860.1 He died on 7 February 1890 at age 60.1
He fought in the Battle of Alma in 1854, where he lost an arm.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the Coldstream Guards.1
