Maj.-Gen. Sir James Kyrle Money, 1st and last Bt.1

     Maj.-Gen. Sir James Kyrle Money, 1st and last Bt. was born on 15 August 1775.1 He was the son of William Money and Mary Webster.2 He married Ann Caroline Taylor, daughter of Robert Taylor, on 27 December 1811 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England.2 He died on 28 June 1843 at age 67, without issue.1
     He was given the name of James Money at birth.2 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1793.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1804.2 In 1808 he suceeded to his father's estates.2 On 26 April 1809 his name was legally changed to James Kyrle Money by Royal Licence.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1811.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1825.2 He was created 1st Baronet Kyrle Money, of Much Marcle [U.K.] in 1838.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1838.2

     Ann Caroline Taylor was the daughter of Robert Taylor.2 She married Maj.-Gen. Sir James Kyrle Money, 1st and last Bt., son of William Money and Mary Webster, on 27 December 1811 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England.1 She died in 1875, without issue.1,2
     From 27 December 1811, her married name became Kyrle Money.1

     William Money-Kyrle was born on 1 May 1808 at Much Marcle, Herefordshire, England.1 He was the son of Reverend William Money-Kyrle and Emma Down.1 He died on 27 August 1868 at age 60, unmarried.2
     He was given the name of William Money at birth.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He suffered from ill-health and possibly hypochondria.1 In 1843 his name was legally changed to William Money-Kyrle by Royal Licence.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Herefordshire in 1853.1

John Ernle Money-Kyrle was born on 1 March 1812 at Calne, Wiltshire, England.2,1 He was the son of Reverend William Money-Kyrle and Emma Down.2 He married, firstly, Harriet Louisa Sutton, daughter of William Henry Sutton, on 23 July 1842 at Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire, England.2 He married, secondly, Ada Frances Simons, daughter of John Simons and Frances Money Carter, on 4 January 1865 at Dover, Kent, England.2,1 He died on 29 October 1894 at age 82.2
     He was given the name of John Ernle Money at birth.2 He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1833 in the 32nd Regiment of Foot.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1843.2 In 1843 his name was legally changed to John Ernle Money-Kyrle by Royal Licence.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 32nd Regiment.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Herefordshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Herefordshire.2 His last will was dated 21 December 1889.2

     Harriet Louisa Sutton was the daughter of William Henry Sutton.1 She married Lt.-Col. John Ernle Money-Kyrle, son of Reverend William Money-Kyrle and Emma Down, on 23 July 1842 at Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire, England.1 She died on 14 April 1857.2
     From 23 July 1842, her married name became Money-Kyrle.1
