Benjamin Henry Noel Hans Hamilton was born on 25 December 1882.1 He was the son of Henry Best Hans-Hamilton and Margaret Gordon Bond-Cabbell.2 He married, firstly, Ida Mortimer, daughter of Percy Mortimer, on 7 July 1906.1 He married, secondly, Vronwy Edwards, daughter of John Edwards, in March 1931.1 He died on 13 November 1969 at age 86.1
