St. John Fancourt Michell Fancourt was born in 1847 at Clifton, Bristol, England.2 He married Ethel Malins Wiggin, daughter of Sir Henry Samuel Wiggin, 1st Bt. and Mary Elizabeth Malins, on 20 January 1897.1 He died on 11 June 1917.1 He was buried at St. Peter and St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Stowmarket, Suffolk, England.2
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the Bengal Lancers.1 He lived at Danecroft, Stowmarket, Suffolk, England.1
