Sir John Hamilton, 1st Bt. and Emily Sophia Monck.¹ He died on 22 February 1888 at age 78 at Oakfield, Crawley, Sussex, England.¹
     He was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹
