     Major Charles Edward Onslow was born on 5 April 1912.1 He was the son of Major George Arthur Onslow and Charlotte Riou Benson.1 He married Margaret Mary Evans, daughter of Reverend William Marsh Lee Evans, in July 1955.1 He died on 8 May 1969 at age 57.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the King's African Rifles.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) and bar.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
