     Lewis Alexander Gascoyne Dalziel was born in 1896 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.¹ He was the son of William Gascoyne Dalziel and Fanny Gertrude Trayes.¹ He married Kathleen Moyra Lyons-Montgomery, daughter of Major Hugh Frederick Lyons-Montgomery and Catherine Mary Macdonell, in 1924 at St. Mary, Crediton, Devon, England.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Scots Fusiliers.¹

     William Gascoyne Dalziel was born in 1855 at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England.¹ He was the son of Davison Octavian Dalziel and Helen Gaultier.¹ He married Fanny Gertrude Trayes, daughter of Valentine Trayes and Amelia Williams, on 9 May 1882 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.¹ He died in 1930 at Bristol, England.¹
     He was a colliery owner and mining engineer.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Upton House, Bathwick Hill, Bath, Somerset, England.¹

     Fanny Gertrude Trayes was born in 1861 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.¹ She was the daughter of Valentine Trayes and Amelia Williams.¹ She married William Gascoyne Dalziel, son of Davison Octavian Dalziel and Helen Gaultier, on 9 May 1882 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.¹ She died in 1942 at Bournemouth, Dorset, England.¹
     From 9 May 1882, her married name became Dalziel.¹

     Valentine Trayes was baptised on 15 April 1827 at St. Teath, Cornwall, England.¹ He was the son of William Trayes and Grace Hockin.¹ He married Amelia Williams in 1855 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.¹

     Amelia Williams was born in 1832 at Glamorgan, Wales.¹ She married Valentine Trayes, son of William Trayes and Grace Hockin, in 1855 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.¹ She died in 1904 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.¹
     From 1855, her married name became Trayes.¹

     Frederick Sydney Trayes was born in 1856 at Glamorgan, Wales.¹ He was the son of Valentine Trayes and Amelia Williams.¹

     Bessie Trayes was born in 1864 at Glamorgan, Wales.¹ She was the daughter of Valentine Trayes and Amelia Williams.¹

     Winifred Gascoyne Dalziel was born in 1884 at Penarth, Glamorgan, Wales.¹ She was the daughter of William Gascoyne Dalziel and Fanny Gertrude Trayes.¹ She married Major Hugh Frederick Lyons-Montgomery in 1912 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.¹ She died in 1958.¹
     From 1912, her married name became Lyons-Montgomery.¹
