     Admiral Sir Charles Edward Madden, 2nd Bt. was born on 15 June 1906.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Charles Edward Madden, 1st Bt. and Constance Winifred Cayzer.2 He married Olive Robins, daughter of George Winchester Robins, on 8 October 1942.1 He died on 23 April 2001 at age 94.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Madden, of Kells, co. Kilkenny [U.K., 1919] on 5 June 1935.1 Second World War.1 He was Naval Assistant to 1st Sea Lord between 1946 and 1947.1 He was Commander and Chief of New Zealand Naval Staff between 1953 and 1955.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1955.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1955.1 He was Deputy Chief, Naval Personnel between 1955 and 1957.1 He was Flag Officer, Malta between 1957 and 1959.1 He was Flag Officer Flotillas, Home Fleet between 1957 and 1960.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1958.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Plymouth between 1960 and 1963.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1961.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1961.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Atlantic Command, NATO between 1963 and 1965.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Home Fleet between 1963 and 1965.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1965.1

     John Wilmot Madden was born on 20 December 1916.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Charles Edward Madden, 1st Bt. and Constance Winifred Cayzer.2 He married Beatrice Catherine Sievwright, daughter of William Arthur Sievwright, on 18 September 1941.1 He died on 25 August 1990 at age 73.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.1 He gained the rank of Officer in the Royal Artillery.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.1

     Beatrice Catherine Sievwright was the daughter of William Arthur Sievwright.2 She married John Wilmot Madden, son of Admiral Sir Charles Edward Madden, 1st Bt. and Constance Winifred Cayzer, on 18 September 1941.1 She died in 1989.1
     From 18 September 1941, her married name became Madden.
