Frances Mary Byng was the daughter of Captain Henry Byng and Mary Gubbins.2 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Charles Borton on 13 October 1887.1 She married, secondly, John Augustin Davis on 30 June 1892.1 She married, thirdly, James Cornwallis Gubbins, son of Reverend Richard Shard Gubbins and Ellen Rolls, on 7 January 1895.1 She died on 9 April 1899.1

Edmund Disney Byng was the son of Vice-Admiral Hon. Henry Dilkes Byng and Maria Jane Clerke.2 He married Elizabeth Egbertha Horsley, daughter of John Horsley, on 16 April 1852.1 He died on 18 April 1853.1
