     Elizabeth Blair is the daughter of General Sir Robert Blair.2 She married Colonel William Swinton, son of John Swinton, Lord Swinton and Margaret Mitchelson, in 1815.1
     From 1815, her married name became Swinton.

     Major William Swinton was born in 1816.1 He was the son of Colonel William Swinton and Elizabeth Blair.2 He died in 1855 at Sebastopol, Russia.1

     Robert Blair Swinton was born in 1829.1 He was the son of Colonel William Swinton and Elizabeth Blair.2 He married Elizabeth Dorothy Rundall, daughter of J. Rundall, in 1858.1 He died in 1912.1
     He was educated at Bath College, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was with the Madras Civil Service.1

     From 1858, her married name became Swinton.

     Robert Rundall Swinton was born in July 1860.1 He was the son of Robert Blair Swinton and Elizabeth Dorothy Rundall.2 He died on 26 September 1890 at age 30 at India, killed in action.2
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 44th Gurkha Light Infantry.1

     Lt.-Col. Francis Edward Swinton was born on 9 June 1866.1 He was the son of Robert Blair Swinton and Elizabeth Dorothy Rundall.2 He died on 23 December 1927 at age 61, unmarried.1
     He was educated at Newcastle-under-Lyme High School, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England.2 He was educated at St. Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School, London, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Medical Service.1 He was Deputy Director-General, Indian Medical Service.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1919.1

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Ernest Dunlop Swinton was born on 21 October 1868.1 He was the son of Robert Blair Swinton and Elizabeth Dorothy Rundall.2 He married Grace Louisa Clayton, daughter of Sir Edward Gilbert Clayton and Georgina Elizabeth Sykes Clayton, on 29 January 1897.1 He died on 15 January 1951 at age 82.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He was educated at Cheltham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.1 He was Assistant Secretary Committee ID and War Cabinet between 1913 and 1914.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was Official Correspondent with BEF in France between 1914 and 1915.1 He was Assistant Secretary Committee ID and War Cabinet between 1915 and 1917.2 In 1916 he raised and commanded the Heavy Section MGC (Tanks.)2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1917.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1923.1 He was Chichele Professor of Military History between 1925 and 1939 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2
