     Eliza Marcia Barr was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. unknown Barr.2 She married General Sir William Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 10th Bt., son of Sir William Stirling Hamilton of Preston, 9th Bt. and Janet Marshall, on 15 October 1856.1 She died on 14 February 1922.1
     From 15 October 1856, her married name became Hamilton.

     Sir William Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 11th Bt. was born on 4 December 1868.1 He was the son of General Sir William Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 10th Bt. and Eliza Marcia Barr.2 He married Mabel Mary Tyndall, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Tyndall, on 24 May 1902.1 He died on 7 October 1946 at age 77.1
     He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Hamilton, of Preston, co. Haddington [N.S., 1673] on 27 September 1913.1

     Mabel Mary Tyndall was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Tyndall.2 She married Sir William Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 11th Bt., son of General Sir William Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 10th Bt. and Eliza Marcia Barr, on 24 May 1902.1 She died on 22 June 1959.1
     From 24 May 1902, her married name became Stirling-Hamilton.

Captain Sir Robert William Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 12th Bt.1

     Captain Sir Robert William Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 12th Bt. was born on 5 April 1903.1 He was the son of Sir William Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 11th Bt. and Mabel Mary Tyndall.2 He married Eileen Southwell, daughter of Rt. Rev. Henry Kemble Southwell, on 4 January 1930.1 He died on 14 February 1982 at age 78.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches twice.1 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Hamilton, of Preston, co. Haddington [N.S., 1673] on 7 October 1946.1 He was Commodore of the Royal Navy Barracks Portsmouth between 1952 and 1954.1 He retired from the military in 1954, with the rank of Captain.1

     Sir Bruce Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 13th Bt. was born on 5 August 1940.1 He was the son of Captain Sir Robert William Stirling-Hamilton of Preston, 12th Bt. and Eileen Southwell.2 He married Stephanie Campbell, daughter of Dr. William Campbell, on 4 September 1968.1 He died on 17 September 1989 at age 49.1
     He was educated at Nautical College, Pangbourne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for West Sussex in 1959.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Queen's Own Highlanders.1 He succeeded as the 13th Baronet Hamilton, of Preston, co. Haddington [N.S., 1673] on 14 February 1982.1
