     Michael Hicks-Beach was born on 11 April 1760.2 He was the son of Sir Howe Hicks, 6th Bt. and Martha Browne.2 He married Henrietta Maria Beach, daughter of William Beach, on 7 October 1779.2 He died on 5 January 1830 at age 69.2
     He was given the name of Michael Hicks at birth.2 On 23 June 1790 his name was legally changed to Michael Hicks-Beach by Royal Licence.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cirencester between 1794 and 1818.2 He lived at Beverstone Castle, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He lived at Williamstrip Park, Coln St. Aldwyn, Gloucestershire, England.2 He lived at Netheravon House, Wiltshire, England.1

     Archibald James Murray St. Clair, 7th/16th Lord Sinclair was born on 16 February 1875.1 He is the son of Charles William St. Clair, 6th/15th Lord Sinclair and Margaret Jane Murray.2 He married Violet Frances Kennedy, daughter of Colonel John Murray Kennedy, on 31 January 1906.1 He died on 25 November 1957 at age 82.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1896 in the 2nd Dragoons (Scots Greys.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1899.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1901.1 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He held the office of Extra Equerry to HRH Prince Arthur of Connaught between 1914 and 1938.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1918.1 He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun of Japan.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kirkcudbrightshire.1 He succeeded as the 16th Lord Sinclair [S., 1449] on 25 April 1922.1 He succeeded as the 7th Lord Sinclair [S., 1677] on 25 April 1922.1 He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1923 and 1957.1

     Charles Henry Murray St. Clair was born on 19 December 1878.1 He was the son of Charles William St. Clair, 6th/15th Lord Sinclair and Margaret Jane Murray.2 He died on 20 December 1914 at age 36, killed in action near La Bassée.1
     He fought in the Boer War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.1 He was awarded the Knight, Order of Saxe-Ernestine of Saxe Coburg and Gotha.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Seaforth Highlanders.1
