     Martha Winter was the daughter of Thomas Bradbury Winter.2 She married James Scott, son of William Scott and Mary Jeffreys, on 5 October 1797.1 She died on 16 May 1815.1
     From 5 October 1797, her married name became Scott.

James Winter Scott1

     James Winter Scott was born on 26 May 1799.1 He was the son of James Scott and Martha Winter.2 He married Lucy Jervoise, daughter of Sir Samuel Clarke Jervoise, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Griffenhoofe, on 24 January 1828.1 He died on 4 January 1873 at age 73.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Hampshire between 1832 and 1837.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1864.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.1 He lived at Rotherfield Park, Hampshire, England.1

     Sophia Nares was born in 1767.1 She was the daughter of Sir George Nares and Mary Strange.1 She married Admiral D'Arcy Preston on 29 November 1792 at St. Michael's CHurch, Begbroke, Oxfordshire, England.1 She died on 17 November 1832 at Askham Bryan, Yorkshire, England.1
     From 29 November 1792, her married name became Preston.1
