     Hon. Henrietta Margaret Stanley was born in 1874. She was the daughter of Edward Lyulph Stanley, 4th Baron Sheffield and Mary Katherine Bell.1,2 She married Admiral Sir William Edmund Goodenough, son of Commodore James Graham Goodenough and Victoria Henrietta Hamilton, on 12 June 1901.1 She died on 21 August 1956.2
     Her married name became Goodenough. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.2

Admiral Sir William Edmund Goodenough

     Admiral Sir William Edmund Goodenough was born on 2 June 1867.1 He was the son of Commodore James Graham Goodenough and Victoria Henrietta Hamilton.2 He married Hon. Henrietta Margaret Stanley, daughter of Edward Lyulph Stanley, 4th Baron Sheffield and Mary Katherine Bell, on 12 June 1901.2 He died on 30 January 1945 at age 77.1
     He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1912 4th Class.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the light cruisers.1 He fought in the Battle of Heligoland Bight in 1914.1 He fought in the Battle of Dogger Bank in 1915.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V between 1915 and 1916.1 He gained the rank of commander in 1916 in the 2nd Light Cruiser Squadron.1 He fought in the Battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V between 1919 and 1920.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1920.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the African Station between 1920 and 1923.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the the Nore between 1924 and 1927.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1925.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1930.1 He retired from the military in 1930.1 He was president of the Royal Geographical Society (P.R.G.S.)1

Henrietta Margaret Stanley, on 6 October 1927 at St. John's, Old Coulsdon, Croydon, London, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 3 July 1969 at age 75 at Farningham, Kent, EnglandG.2
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.
