John Henry Ricketts1

     John Henry Ricketts was born on 17 March 1767.1 He was the son of John Ricketts and Harriot Grace Roberts.2 He died in 1792 at India, killed.3
     He gained the rank of Ensign in the Bengal Engineers.1

     Gilbert Ricketts was baptised on 4 August 1770.1 He was born at Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.2 He was the son of John Ricketts and Harriot Grace Roberts.3 He married Harriet Worsley Bligh, daughter of Admiral Sir Richard Rodney Bligh and Ann Worsley, on 23 March 1795.1 He died in 1817 at Madras, India.1,2

     Admiral Sir Richard Rodney Bligh was born in 1737.3 He was the son of Richard Bligh and Anne Page.3 He was baptised on 8 November 1737 at Holy Trinity Church, Gosport, Hampshire, England.3 He married, firstly, Ann Worsley, daughter of Sir Edward Worsley and Elizabeth Miller, on 13 November 1765.3 He married, secondly, Mary Golightly on 28 July 1800.4 He died on 30 October 1821 at Belle Vue, Southampton, Hampshire, England.4
     He was commissioned in 1750 with the rank of Midshipman, in the service of the Royal Navy.3 He gained the rank of Commander in 1762.3 He gained the rank of Post Captain in 1777.3 He lived at Gatcombe Park, Isle of Wight, England.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in October 1794.3 He was court-martialled for the loss of H.M.S. Alexander on 6 November 1794, and was honourably acquitted.3 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in February 1799.4 He gained the rank of Admiral in April 1804.4 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1820.1

     Harriet Worsley Bligh was born in 1774 at Tours, France.2 She was the daughter of Admiral Sir Richard Rodney Bligh and Ann Worsley.3 She married Gilbert Ricketts, son of John Ricketts and Harriot Grace Roberts, on 23 March 1795.1
     From 23 March 1795, her married name became Ricketts.

Reverend Gilbert Tristram Ricketts1

     Reverend Gilbert Tristram Ricketts was born at sea on 2 May 1800.1,2 He was the son of Gilbert Ricketts and Harriet Worsley Bligh.3 He married Mary Hunt, daughter of Robert Hunt, on 15 June 1847 at St. Botolph Aldgate, London, England.1,2 He died on 25 April 1876 at age 75 at Tours, France.1,2
     He graduated in 1826 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2

     Mary Hunt was born in 1804.2 She was the daughter of Robert Hunt.2 She married Reverend Gilbert Tristram Ricketts, son of Gilbert Ricketts and Harriet Worsley Bligh, on 15 June 1847 at St. Botolph Aldgate, London, England.1,2 She died on 24 March 1871.2 She was buried on 24 March 1871.2
     From 15 June 1847, her married name became Ricketts.
