     Major Thomas Palmer was born on 8 December 1832.¹ He was the son of Reverend Henry Palmer and Elizabeth Heyrick.² He married Harriet Elizabeth Dawson, daughter of Edward Dawson, on 20 September 1860.¹ He died on 15 April 1929 at age 96.¹
     He gained the rank of Honorary Major and Adjutant in the East Riding Volunteers Hull.¹ He fought in the Crimean War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 47th Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Crimean Medal and Clasps.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Herefordshire.¹

     Edward Dawson lived at Launde Abbey, Leicestershire, England.¹ He lived at Whatton, England.¹

     Eleanor Annie Sharpin was born in 1868.² She was the daughter of Henry Wilson Sharpin and Edith Esther Nicolle.^3,2 She married Major Frederick Charles Palmer, son of Major Herrick Augustus Palmer and Dorothy Susan Hazlerigg, on 15 September 1897.¹ She died on 28 December 1941.¹
     From 15 September 1897, her married name became Palmer.¹
