     Robert St. Leger Portal was born on 20 November 1892.¹ He was the son of Sir William Wyndham Portal, 2nd Bt. and Florence Elizabeth Mary Glyn.² He married Gwendoline Williams, daughter of Major Eustace Scott Williams, on 24 November 1920.¹ He died on 20 July 1926 at age 33.¹
     He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant in the Royal Horse Guards.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.¹ His marriage to Gwendoline Williams was annulled in 1922.¹

     Major Eustace Scott Williams held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹

     Gwendoline Williams is the daughter of Major Eustace Scott Williams.² She married Robert St. Leger Portal, son of Sir William Wyndham Portal, 2nd Bt. and Florence Elizabeth Mary Glyn, on 24 November 1920.¹
     From 24 November 1920, her married name became Portal.¹ Her marriage to Robert St. Leger Portal was annulled in 1922.¹

     Margery Portal was the daughter of Sir William Wyndham Portal, 2nd Bt. and Florence Elizabeth Mary Glyn.² She married, firstly, Major Thomas Geoffrey Rawstorne, son of Lawrence Rawstorne, on 24 July 1907.¹ She married, secondly, Charles Henry Evan-Thomas, son of Charles Evan-Thomas, on 27 November 1918.¹ She died on 12 December 1962, without issue.¹
     From 24 July 1907, her married name became Rawstorne.¹ From 27 November 1918, her married name became Evan-Thomas.¹

     Lawrence Rawstorne lived at Hutton Hall, Preston Wynne, Herefordshire, England.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹

     Major Thomas Geoffrey Rawstorne was the son of Lawrence Rawstorne.² He married Margery Portal, daughter of Sir William Wyndham Portal, 2nd Bt. and Florence Elizabeth Mary Glyn, on 24 July 1907.¹ He died on 31 July 1917, from wounds received in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Lancashire Hussars.¹ He lived at Dolwen, Newbridge-on-Wye, Powys, Wales.¹

     Her married name became Hawtrey.¹

     Sarah Hurnard is the daughter of Thomas Hurnard.¹ She married Stephen Hawtrey, son of Charles Hawtrey.¹

     Sir Spencer John Portal, 4th Bt. was born on 14 May 1864.¹ He was the son of Sir Wyndham Spencer Portal, 1st Bt. and Mary Jane Beach.² He married Mary Laura Florence Mure, daughter of Lt.-Col. William Mure of Caldwell and Hon. Constance Elizabeth Wyndham, on 4 December 1890.¹ He died on 25 November 1955 at age 91.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Hampshire Yeomanry.¹ He was first chairman (and later president) of the TSB Association.¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1928.¹ He was vice-chairman of the Internat Thrift Institute between 1930 and 1931.¹ He was director of the Royal Exchange Assurance.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Portal, of Malshanger, Church Oakley, co. Southampton [U.K., 1901] on 6 May 1949.¹
