     Major John Freville Henry Surtees was born on 26 January 1919.2 He was the son of Major Robert Lambton Surtees and Anne Beck. He married Audrey M. Falkner, daughter of Basil Falkner, on 14 February 1946.3,4 He died in 1996 at Westminster, London, England.2
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He lived at Wylye, Wiltshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.5 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1
