     Captain Brodrick Hartwell is the son of Reverend Barry Hartwell and Mary Spierin.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 Coheir to the estates of the Barrys of Rathcormac.1 He was Lieutenant-Governor of Greenwich Hospital.1

Reverend Houlton Hartwell1

     Reverend Houlton Hartwell was born on 12 February 1783.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Francis John Hartwell, 1st Bt. and Anne Charlotte Maria Elphinstone.2 He married Ruth Ball, daughter of David Ball, on 29 February 1812.1 He died on 24 February 1819 at age 36.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Chaplain to the Prince Regent.1

     Ruth Ball is the daughter of David Ball.2 She married, firstly, Reverend Houlton Hartwell, son of Admiral Sir Francis John Hartwell, 1st Bt. and Anne Charlotte Maria Elphinstone, on 29 February 1812.1 She married, secondly, Joseph Jackson, son of Josias Jackson and Jennetta Barnewall, on 7 March 1822 at St. Marylebone, London, England.1,3
     From 29 February 1812, her married name became Hartwell. From 7 March 1822, her married name became Jackson.1
