     Lawrence George Durrell was born on 27 February 1912 at Jalandhar, IndiaG.2 He was the son of Lawrence Samuel Durrell and Louisa Florence Dixie.2 He married, firstly, Nancy Isobel Myers on 22 January 1935.2 He married, secondly, Eve Cohen in 1947.2 He married, thirdly, Claude-Marie Vincendon in 1961.2 He married, fourthly, Ghislaine de Boysson in 1973.2 He and Ghislaine de Boysson were divorced in 1979.2 He and Nancy Isobel Myers were separated in 1942.2 He and Eve Cohen were separated in 1955.2 He died on 7 November 1990 at age 78 at Sommières, France.2

     Lawrence Samuel Durrell was born on 23 September 1884 at Dum Dum, Calcutta, India.1 He was the son of Samuel Amos Durrell and Dora Maria Johnstone.1 He married Louisa Florence Dixie, daughter of George Dixie, in 1910.1 He died on 16 April 1928 at age 43 at Dalhousie, Madras, India.1
     He was educated at Thomason College of Civil Engineering, Roorkee, India.1 He was an engineer.1 He was chief engineer of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway between 1918 and 1920.1

     Lt.-Col. Hugh Bertram Hardy was born on 1 May 1907.1 He was the son of Sir Bertram Hardy, 3rd Bt. and Violet Agnes Evelyn Leigh.2 He married Joan Stella Gwendolyn Dracott, daughter of Charles Hammond Dracott, on 24 July 1933.1 He died in 1988.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Hussars.1 He retired from the military, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the 3rd Hussars.1
