     S/Cdr. William Arthur Grattan-Bellew was born on 15 September 1893.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Christopher Grattan-Bellew, 3rd Bt. and Lady Sophia Maria Elizabeth Forbes.² He died on 24 March 1917 at age 23, from injuries received on active service.¹

     Bettina Idrone Dorothy Loftus was the daughter of Major John Edward Blake Loftus.² She married Thomas Henry Grattan-Bellew, son of Sir Henry Christopher Grattan-Bellew, 3rd Bt. and Lady Sophia Maria Elizabeth Forbes, on 1 June 1933.¹ She died on 10 March 1995.¹
