     Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 7th Bt. was born on 16 May 1843.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 6th Bt. and Harriet Hope-Vere.² He married Ellen Emily Hirst, daughter of Major Robert Augustus Hankey Hirst, on 9 October 1866.¹ He died on 27 May 1872 at age 29, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Gooch, of Benacre Hall, Suffolk [G.B., 1746] on 9 November 1856.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Ellen Emily Hirst was the daughter of Major Robert Augustus Hankey Hirst.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 7th Bt., son of Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 6th Bt. and Harriet Hope-Vere, on 9 October 1866.¹ She married, secondly, George Gream on 28 July 1873.¹ She died on 29 November 1921.¹
     From 9 October 1866, her married name became Gooch.¹ From 28 July 1873, her married name became Gream.¹

     Sir Francis Robert Sherlock Lambert Gooch, 8th Bt. was born on 8 September 1850.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 6th Bt. and Harriet Hope-Vere.² He married Sarah Annie Sutherland, daughter of G. A. Sutherland, on 16 July 1872.¹ He died on 13 August 1881 at age 30.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the West Suffolk Militia.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Gooch, of Benacre Hall, Suffolk [G.B., 1746] on 27 May 1872.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹

     Sarah Annie Sutherland was the daughter of G. A. Sutherland.² She married Sir Francis Robert Sherlock Lambert Gooch, 8th Bt., son of Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 6th Bt. and Harriet Hope-Vere, on 16 July 1872.¹ She died on 28 October 1879.¹
     From 16 July 1872, her married name became Gooch.

     Francis Sherlock Gooch was born on 31 July 1873.¹ He was the son of Sir Francis Robert Sherlock Lambert Gooch, 8th Bt. and Sarah Annie Sutherland.² He died on 5 December 1873.¹

     Sir Alfred Sherlock Gooch, 9th Bt. was born on 25 December 1851.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 6th Bt. and Harriet Hope-Vere.² He married Alice Elizabeth Williams, daughter of Edward Williams, on 27 May 1880.¹ He died on 24 February 1899 at age 47.¹
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Gooch, of Benacre Hall, Suffolk [G.B., 1746] on 13 August 1881.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Suffolk in 1885.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Westminster Militia.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk.¹

     Alice Elizabeth Williams was the daughter of Edward Williams.² She married Sir Alfred Sherlock Gooch, 9th Bt., son of Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 6th Bt. and Harriet Hope-Vere, on 27 May 1880.¹ She died on 27 November 1895.¹
     From 27 May 1880, her married name became Gooch.

     Elizabeth Gooch is the daughter of Sir Edward Sherlock Gooch, 6th Bt. and Harriet Hope-Vere.² She married William Charles Boden Elwell on 8 July 1874.¹
     From 8 July 1874, her married name became Elwell.
