Sir Charles Gilmour of Craigmillar, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Charles Gilmour of Craigmillar, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 1st Bt. and Grizel Ross.2 He married Jean Sinclair, daughter of Sir Robert Sinclair of Longformacus, 3rd Bt. and Christian Cockburn, in 1733.1 He died on 9 August 1750.1
     He was a Lord of Trade and Plantation.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Gilmour, of Craigmillar [N.S., 1678] in October 1731.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Edinburgh between 1737 and 1750.1

     Sir Robert Sinclair of Longformacus, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir John Sinclair of Longformacus, 2nd Bt. and Jean Towers.2 He married Christian Cockburn, daughter of Adam Cockburn, Lord Ormiston and Lady Susanna Hamilton.1 He died on 28 September 1727.3,4
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Sinclair, of Longformacus, co. Berwick [N.S., 1664] after 1696.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Berwickshire [Scotland] between 1703 and 1707.5 He sold estate of Lochead.4

Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 3rd Bt.1

     Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Charles Gilmour of Craigmillar, 2nd Bt. and Jean Sinclair.2 He died in 1792, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Gilmour, of Craigmillar [N.S., 1678] on 9 August 1750.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the County of Edinburgh between 1751 and 1774.1 He gained the rank of Officer in the 1st Guards.1 He fought in the Seven Years War in 1758 at FranceG.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

     Helen Gilmour was the daughter of Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 1st Bt. and Grizel Ross.2 She married William Little, son of unknown Little, on 3 October 1703 at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland.1,3 She died in 1737.1
     From 3 October 1703, her married name became Little.

     Grizel Little is the daughter of William Little and Helen Gilmour.2 She married Walter Little, son of Gabriel Ranken and Sophia Clerk, in July 1736.1
