     Reverend John Gabriel Ryde married Emmeline Forbes-Mitchell, daughter of Henry David Forbes-Mitchell of Balgownie and Margaret Fraser of Fraserfield, on 29 April 1851.¹ He died on 7 December 1868.¹
     He had 10 children.¹

     Georgiana Mary Agnew Forbes-Mitchell was born on 13 March 1833.² She was the daughter of Henry David Forbes-Mitchell of Balgownie and Margaret Fraser of Fraserfield.³ She was baptised on 12 April 1833 at Old Machar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.² She married Robert Spottiswood Farquhar Spottiswood of Muiresk on 24 December 1857.¹ She died on 2 May 1905 at age 72.¹
     From 24 December 1857, her married name became Spottiswood.

     Robert Spottiswood Farquhar Spottiswood of Muiresk married Georgiana Mary Agnew Forbes-Mitchell, daughter of Henry David Forbes-Mitchell of Balgownie and Margaret Fraser of Fraserfield, on 24 December 1857.¹

     Mansfield Forbes-Mitchell was the son of Duncan Forbes-Mitchell of Thainstone and Katherine Ann Fraser.² He died, without issue.¹

     James Edge was born circa 1753.² He married Mary Anne Ferguson, daughter of Robert Ferguson, on 11 March 1813 at St. Dunstan's-in-the-East Church, London, England^G.² He died on 9 April 1817 at Norfolk Street, The Strand, London, England^G.²
     He was admitted to Inner Temple.² He was a practising solicitor.²

     Roderick Macleod lived at King's College, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Isabella Macleod was the daughter of Roderick Macleod.² She married Lt.-Col. Arthur Forbes, son of Sir Arthur Forbes of Craigievar, 4th Bt. and Margaret Strachan, on 1 January 1805.¹ She died in 1856.¹
     From 1 January 1805, her married name became Forbes.

     Arthur Forbes-Gordon of Rayne was born on 2 June 1806.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Arthur Forbes and Isabella Macleod.² He married Charlotte Balfour, daughter of Colonel William Balfour, on 20 April 1843.¹ He died on 21 August 1873 at age 67.¹
     He was given the name of Arthur Forbes at birth.¹ In 1857 his name was legally changed to Arthur Forbes-Gordon on inheriting the Rayne estate from his cousin John Gordon of Avochie and Rayne, Aberdeenshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Rayne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.³

     Colonel William Balfour gained the rank of Colonel in the 82nd Regiment.¹

     Charlotte Balfour was the daughter of Colonel William Balfour.² She married Arthur Forbes-Gordon of Rayne, son of Lt.-Col. Arthur Forbes and Isabella Macleod, on 20 April 1843.¹ She died in 1890.¹
     From 20 April 1843, her married name became Forbes-Gordon.
