     John Bridges Plumptre was born on 30 September 1832.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Western Plumptre and Eleanor Bridges.2 He married Elizabeth Wright, daughter of Francis Wright and Selina FitzHerbert, on 31 May 1859.1 He died on 10 November 1888 at age 56.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Kent Rifle Volunteers.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Goodnestone, Kent, EnglandG.3

     From 31 May 1859, her married name became Plumptre.

     Henry FitzWalter Plumptre, 20th Lord FitzWalter was born on 12 December 1860.1 He was the son of John Bridges Plumptre and Elizabeth Wright.2 He married, firstly, Maude Dora Gertrude Baird, daughter of Captain Thomas Carpendale Baird, on 26 April 1892.1 He married, secondly, Emily Harriet Jemina Baird, daughter of Captain Thomas Carpendale Baird, on 1 February 1908.1 He died on 12 September 1932 at age 71, without issue.1
     He held the office of County Alderman for Kent.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.1 He succeeded as the 20th Lord FitzWalter [E., 1295] on 30 September 1924, when the abeyance was terminated in his favour.1 On his death the when the Barony became dormant until his nephew was summoned to Parliament by writ on 28 May 1953.1
