     Sir Philip Gell, 3rd Bt. was born in 1651.2 He was the son of Sir John Gell, 2nd Bt. and Katherine Packer.2 He married Elizabeth Fagge, daughter of Sir John Fagge, 1st Bt. and Mary Morley, on 26 November 1678.1,2 He died on 14 July 1719, without issue.1
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Gell.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Steyning in 1681.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derbyshire in 1689.2
