Sir Robert Leighton, 5th Bt. was born in 1752.1 He was the son of Sir Charlton Leighton, 3rd Bt. and Emma Maude.2,1 He died in February 1819, unmarried.1
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Leighton, of Wattlesborough, Shropshire [E., 1693] on 9 September 1784.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Shropshire in 1786.1
