     Reverend George Dempster Johnstone was born on 13 March 1805.1 He was the son of James Raymond Johnstone of Alva and Mary Elizabeth Cholmeley.2 He married Mary Anne Hawkins, daughter of John Hawkins, on 1 September 1842.1 He died on 8 September 1867 at age 62.1
     He was Rector at Creed, Cornwall, England.1

     From 1 September 1842, her married name became Johnstone.
