Henry Pakenham was born circa 1618.2 He was the son of Robert Pakenham and Jane Horsey.3 He married, firstly, Mary Lill, daughter of Robert Lill and Ellinor Ussher.1 He married, secondly, Anne Pigot, daughter of unknown Pigot, in 1670.2 He died in 1690.2
He gained the rank of Captain between 1642 and 1665 in the Parliamentary Dragoons in Ireland.2 On 17 October 1665 he was granted lands that included acreage in the Barony of Bantry, County Wexford, and Tullynally, County Westmeath, in lieu of £4,363 arrears of pay.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Navan in 1667.2
