     Hannah Murgatroyd was the daughter of Nathaniel Murgatroyd.2 She married Edward Ripley, son of George Ripley and Elizabeth Whitaker, on 24 December 1812.1 She died on 2 February 1871.1
     From 24 December 1812, her married name became Ripley.

Sir Henry William Ripley, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Henry William Ripley, 1st Bt. was born on 23 April 1813.1 He was the son of Edward Ripley and Hannah Murgatroyd.2 He married Susan Milligan, daughter of John Milligan, on 6 September 1836.1 He died on 9 November 1882 at age 69.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Bradford between 1868 and 1869.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Bradford between 1874 and 1880.1 He was created 1st Baronet Ripley, of Acacia, Rawdon, West Riding of Yorkshire and Bedstone House, Shropshire [U.K.] on 8 May 1880.1

     Susan Milligan was the daughter of John Milligan.2 She married Sir Henry William Ripley, 1st Bt., son of Edward Ripley and Hannah Murgatroyd, on 6 September 1836.1 She died on 5 December 1886.1
     Kirkcudbrightshire.1 She lived Balmaghie.1 Her married name became Ripley.

Sir Edward Ripley, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Edward Ripley, 2nd Bt. was born on 16 May 1840.2 He was the son of Sir Henry William Ripley, 1st Bt. and Susan Milligan.2 He married Eugenie Frederica Fulcher Emmott-Rawdon, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edward Alfred Green Emmott-Rawdon, on 31 July 1877.2 He died on 21 November 1903 at age 63.2
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1864 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1870 entitled to practise as a barrister.2 He was also known as 2nd Baronet Ripley, of Acacia, Rawdon, West Riding of Yorkshire and Bedstone House, Shropshire [U.K., 1880] as of 9 November 1882.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Admin Brigade, West Yorkshire Artillery Volunteers.2 He held the office of High Sheriff for the West Riding, Yorkshire in 1891.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the West Riding, Yorkshire.2

     Sir Frederick Ripley, 1st Bt. was born on 28 November 1846.1 He was the son of Sir Henry William Ripley, 1st Bt. and Susan Milligan.2 He married Katherine Little, daughter of David Little, on 27 June 1876.1 He died on 22 November 1907 at age 60.1
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd West Yorkshire Yeomanry Cavalry.1 He was created 1st Baronet Ripley, of Acacia, Rawdon, West Riding of Yorkshire [U.K.] on 4 September 1897.1
