Sir Robert Munro of Foulis, 5th Bt.1

     Sir Robert Munro of Foulis, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir John Munro of Foulis, 4th Bt. and Agnes Mackenzie.2 He married Jean Forbes, daughter of John Forbes, 2nd of Culloden and Anne Dunbar, circa 1684.1 He died on 11 September 1729.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ross-shire between 1697 and 1701.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Munro, of Foulis, Ross [N.S., 1634] on 11 September 1697.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Ross and Cromarty in 1725.1

     Lt.-Col. Sir Robert Munro of Foulis, 6th Bt. was born on 24 August 1684.1,2 He was the son of Sir Robert Munro of Foulis, 5th Bt. and Jean Forbes.3 He married Mary Seymour, daughter of Henry Seymour.1 He died on 17 January 1745/46 at age 61, killed in action.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wick Burghs between 1710 and 1741.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Munro, of Foulis, Ross [N.S., 1634] on 11 September 1729.1 He fought in the Battle of Fontenoy in 1745.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the a Highland Regiment.1 He fought in the Battle of Falkirk on 17 January 1745/46, against the Jacobites.1

     Sir Harry Munro, 27th of Foulis, 7th Bt. was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Robert Munro of Foulis, 6th Bt. and Mary Seymour.2 He married Anne Rose, daughter of Hugh Rose, 16th of Kilravock and Jane Rose, on 13 January 1753.1 He died on 12 June 1781.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ross-shire from 1746 to 1747.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Munro, of Foulis, Ross [N.S., 1634] on 17 January 1745/46.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wick Burghs between 1747 and 1761.2

     Sir Hugh Munro of Foulis, 8th Bt. was born in 1763.1 He was the son of Sir Harry Munro, 27th of Foulis, 7th Bt. and Anne Rose.2 He married Jane Law, daughter of Alexander Law.1 He died on 2 May 1848, without surviving male issue.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Munro, of Foulis, Ross [N.S., 1634] on 12 June 1781.1
