     Alberta Laura Mainwaring was born in 1891 at Ireland.² She was the daughter of Captain Guy Mainwaring and Gertrude Henrietta Williams.^1,2 She married, firstly, Walter Hargreaves Brown, son of Sir Alexander Hargreaves Brown, 1st Bt. and Henrietta Agnes Terrell Blandy, on 22 July 1913.¹ She married, secondly, Major Alexander Innes, son of William Disney Innes and Helen Amy Burnett, on 9 November 1937.¹ She died on 24 September 1975.¹
     From 22 July 1913, her married name became Brown. She was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ From 9 November 1937, her married name became Innes.¹

     Lieutenant Alexander Bruce Hargreaves Brown was born on 24 April 1918.¹ He was the son of Walter Hargreaves Brown and Alberta Laura Mainwaring.² He died on 4 October 1944 at age 26 at Belgium^G, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.¹
