Charles Edward Drummond, 5th Earl of Melfort was born on 1 January 1752.1 He was the son of James Drummond, 3rd Earl of Melfort and Marie de Berenger.1 He died on 9 April 1840 at age 88.1
He succeeded as the 5th Lord Drummond of Riccartoun, Castlemains and Gilstoun [S., 1686] in September 1800.1 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount of Melfort [S., 1685] in September 1800.1 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount of Forth [S., 1686] in September 1800.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Melfort [S., 1686] in September 1800.1 He succeeded as the 13th Earl of Perth [S., 1605] in September 1800, de jure.2 He succeeded as the 17th Lord Drummond [S., 1488] in September 1800, de jure.2 In 1803 he took proceedings in the Court of Sessions for the recovery of the lands and titles of Lord Drummond and Earl of Perth.1 In 1808 his action was dismissed becuase as a Catholic he could not bring his claim before the House of Lords.1 In 1823 he petitioned again, and thirdly in 1838 after the Catholic Emancipation Act.1

Léon Maurice Drummond was born on 12 April 1761.1 He was the son of James Drummond, 3rd Earl of Melfort and Marie de Berenger.1 He married Marie Elizabeth Lucie de Longemarre on 26 October 1794.1 He died on 26 April 1826 at age 65.1

William Drummond, 4th Viscount Strathallan was the son of Sir John Drummond, 3rd of Machany and Margaret Stewart.1 He married Hon. Margaret Nairne Murray, daughter of William Murray, 2nd Lord Nairne and Margaret Nairne, circa 1 November 1712.2 He died on 16 April 1746 at Culloden, Inverness-shire, Scotland, killed in action.2

Margaret Nairne Murray.2 He married Euphemia Gordon, daughter of Peter Gordon, 11th of Abergeldie and Margaret Primrose, circa November 1750.3 He died on 22 June 1765 at age 43.2
