in 1894.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Dublin in 1899.¹ He was a director of the Great Northern Railway Ireland between 1902 and 1924.¹ He was a director of the Bank of Ireland between 1910 and 1924.³ He held the office of Senator [Irish Free State] between 1922 and 1934.¹ He was assistant managing director of Arthur Guinness, Son & Company between 1924 and 1930.¹ He lived at Burton Hall, Stillorgan, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He wrote the book The Guinness Family, published 1953, with Brian Guinness.¹

     Robert Stagg Bainbridge lived at Keverstone, County Durham, England^G.¹

     Mary Middleton Bainbridge was the daughter of Robert Stagg Bainbridge.² She married Henry Seymour Guinness, son of Henry Guinness and Emmelina Brown, on 20 November 1900.¹ She died on 1 August 1954.¹
     From 20 November 1900, her married name became Guinness.

     Moira Emeline Guinness was born on 28 January 1902.² She is the daughter of Henry Seymour Guinness and Mary Middleton Bainbridge.³ She married Arthur Lafone Frank Hills, son of Arnold Frank Hills, on 29 November 1923.¹
