     Reverend Kenneth John Tristram Elphinstone was born on 29 November 1911.1 He was the son of Reverend Maurice Curteis Elphinstone and Christiana Georgiana Almond.2 He married Felicity Hurst, daughter of Sir Gerald Berkeley Hurst, on 29 September 1938.1 He died on 16 May 1980 at age 68.1,3
     He was educated at Loretto School, Muselborough, East Lothian, ScotlandG.1 He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1933 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1934 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was the Vicar at South Stoke, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1938 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1942, when he became a POW.1 He was Chancellor of the Diocese of Chester in 1950.1 He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1950 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Chancellor of the Diocese of Hereford in 1953.1 He was a Priest in 1964.1 He was the Vicar between 1966 and 1974 at South Stoke, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He was Dean of the Arches, Auditor of Chancery Court of York between 1977 and 1980.1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1979.1

     Felicity Hurst was born circa 1914.2 She is the daughter of Sir Gerald Berkeley Hurst.3 She married, firstly, Reverend Kenneth John Tristram Elphinstone, son of Reverend Maurice Curteis Elphinstone and Christiana Georgiana Almond, on 29 September 1938.1 She married, secondly, Commander Eric Ford Schomberg Back, son of Captain Eric Percy Coventry Back and Violet Hammill, on 22 July 1982.1 She died on 7 August 2010.2
     From 29 September 1938, her married name became Elphinstone. From 22 July 1982, her married name became Back.1
