     Hugh Mercer Fagan was born on 26 February 1921.¹ He was the son of Louis Estell Fagan, Jr. and Evelyn Byrd Harrison.² He died on 31 August 1973 at age 52 at Sunyvale, California, U.S.A.^G.³
