Alfred Carden was born on 11 June 1859.1 He was the son of Charles Wilson Carden and Jane Bolton King.2 He died on 10 March 1883 at age 23, drowned at sea off Jamaica while sailing for the West Indies.1

Eustace Carden was born on 29 December 1863.1 He was the son of Charles Wilson Carden and Jane Bolton King.2 He married Lillias Agatha Mary Racester Markham, daughter of Henry Philip Markham, on 6 February 1893.1 He died on 9 June 1897 at age 33, drowned after handing a lifebelt to a drowning stewardess, and failing to recover the drifting lifeboat during the wreck of SS Aden off the Isle of Socotra.1
