     Talbot Yelverton, 1st Earl of Sussex was born on 2 May 1690.2 He was the son of Henry Yelverton, 1st Viscount de Longueville and Barbara Talbot.1 He married Lucy Pelham, daughter of Henry Pelham and Frances Bine, on 1 November 1726.2 He died on 27 October 1731 at age 41.2
     He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount de Longueville [E., 1690] on 24 March 1703/4.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Yelverton on 24 March 1703/4. He succeeded as the 16th Baron Grey, of Ruthin [E., 1325] on 24 March 1703/4.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He was created 1st Earl of Sussex [Great Britain] on 26 September 1717.1 He held the office of Lord of the Bedchamber between 1722 and 1727.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1725.2 He held the office of Deputy Earl Marshal between 1725 and 1731.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1727.2

Lucy Pelham1

     Lucy Pelham was the daughter of Henry Pelham and Frances Bine.2 She married Talbot Yelverton, 1st Earl of Sussex, son of Henry Yelverton, 1st Viscount de Longueville and Barbara Talbot, on 1 November 1726.2 She died on 25 May 1730.1
     From 1 November 1726, her married name became Yelverton.

     George Augustus Yelverton, 2nd Earl of Sussex was born on 27 July 1727.1 He was the son of Talbot Yelverton, 1st Earl of Sussex and Lucy Pelham.1 He died on 8 January 1758 at age 30, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 17th Baron Grey, of Ruthin [E., 1325] on 27 October 1731.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount de Longueville [E., 1690] on 27 October 1731.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Sussex [G.B., 1717] on 27 October 1731.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Yelverton on 27 October 1731. He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, EnglandG.2

Sir Henry Yelverton, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Henry Yelverton, 2nd Bt. was born on 6 July 1633.2 He was the son of Sir Christopher Yelverton, 1st Bt. and Anne Twysden. He married Susan Longueville, Baroness Grey (of Ruthin), daughter of Charles Longueville, 12th Baron Grey (of Ruthin) and Frances Nevill.1 He died on 30 October 1670 at age 37.1 He was also reported to have died on 3 October 1670.2
     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Yelverton, of Easton Maudit, Northamptonshire.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northamptonshire in 1660.3

     Susan Longueville, Baroness Grey (of Ruthin) was the daughter of Charles Longueville, 12th Baron Grey (of Ruthin) and Frances Nevill.1 She married Sir Henry Yelverton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Christopher Yelverton, 1st Bt. and Anne Twysden.1 She died on 28 January 1676.1
     Her married name became Yelverton.1 She succeeded as the 13th Baroness Grey, of Ruthin [E., 1325] on 17 June 1643, suo jure.1

     Charles Longueville, 12th Baron Grey (of Ruthin) was baptised on 21 April 1612.1 He was the son of Sir Michael Longueville and Susan Grey.1 He married Frances Nevill, daughter of Edward Nevill.1 He died on 17 June 1643 at age 31.1
     He succeeded as the 12th Baron Grey, of Ruthin [E., 1325] on 5 February 1640/41.1

     Susan Grey was the daughter of Charles Grey, 7th Earl of Kent and Susan Cotton.1 She married Sir Michael Longueville, son of Sir Henry Longueville, on 12 August 1611.1 She died circa December 1620.1 She was buried on 13 December 1620.1
     Her married name became Longueville.
